Our approach to obtain high-performing signal processing is to combine a deep physical understanding of the system under observation with the appropriate mathematical tools. An important part of our projects is treated in collaboration with IAV Engineering which provides the signals generated from acoustic or optical sensors. Most projects are confidential, but a few are given as examples below.
Initiated by the S+T research program of Armasuisse and in collaboration with IAV, we locate in real-time and with good accuracy snipers by detecting the shockwaves and/or muzzle blasts generated by their shots.
We developed an extremely robust, fast and accurate algorithm for on-the-fly analysis of the ticking of mechanical watches. Not only tradional systems but also unconventional prototypes are correctly measured, no matter the environment (silent laboratory or noisy production room).
